The Garage

One day Lisa was wandering around the derelict factories on her way home with Darren and discovered an old rusty garage. When she walked in her mouth fell open, it was so beautiful and shiny with all the strange metal parts that she didn't even know what they were. Most people loved golden, shiny, new places but to Lisa all the shiny places whether old or new were as beautiful as each other. She saw the beauty even of peeling paint. She didn't really like cars that much, not like Darren did but what she did love was the parts out of the cars. As soon as she got in there she set about picking up all the different parts that she liked the shape of then put them all in a space together an decided to make her own sculpture out of them. She decided she'd make a robot, complete with a heart and a brain because she'd been doing Anatomy at school on that particular day. As she was working on her robot Darren was exploring the garage on his own and marvelling at all the amazing car parts. It took her about an hour to complete the robot. She decided to call her Cleopatra because she'd been doing about the Egyptians recently in History at school. As she finished the last piece putting a beautiful crown upon her head that looked like the inside of a wheel the robot miraculously started to come to life. Lisa ran so fast and jumped on Darren. 'I'm hungry' Cleopatra said. Lisa was trying her best not to scream and Darren just stood there in disbelief. Lisa thought quickly and ran over to a little round piece of metal and sandwiched it between two other pieces and handed it to her. She chomped on it happily. 'I love my beautiful palace' she told Lisa, please come and see me whenever you get the chance. 'We will' Lisa and Darren grinned happily as they climbed back through the door into the open air. They ran home laughing and smiling that they always had such amazing adventures.
