About Lisa Abrams

I was born in Wolverhampton in January 1982 to A Guyanese dad and English mom. I went to school, College, then Uni all in Wolverhampton. I’ve always struggled in my education with Eurocentric teaching. I want to learn but not things I’m interested in, things that move me. I make Art but because the Art world is a disgusting place full of pretension, fakery, prejudice networking and pomp I keep from starving to death by working as a Domino’s delivery driver. They’re very kind to me, the only people I can work for. My whole Art education from school, through to University, was founded upon European art history which I reject. Instead I was in the library looking at books of African and Native American Art.
